Just wondering?
I was just curious if people purchase products they have absolutely no use for simply because they are a money maker. Today, I went to two different CVS stores in search of the Clearasil face wash. If you have they Q from a few weeks ago, you could make $2 on this deal. I really didn't expect to have a problem finding it. Afterall, there is a limit of 1 per card/household, and how many serious couponers have kids with acne. Fotunately, I did find it, but there was only one left on the shelf after going to two stores. So, do you purchase things you have no use for just to make a couple of dollars and if so, what do you do with it?

I usually donate things to our church daycare or give them to friends that need them. However, I have a daughter that has been blessed with hereditary acne! So she'll be using the Clearasil.
Yes, I will buy things that can roll my ECB's, bring my totals up if I have a $/$$ coupon or are a money maker.

I had the same problem with the band aids today at CVS and I was there at about 10am. I did find the Clearasil but there were only 2 on the shelf. My daughter will be using the clearasil. I usually only buy things that I will use at some point in time.

Yep. Do it all the time.
My savings are not limited to myself/family.
I would have actually passed this one up but a woman came in as I was just finishing up and made a comment about my binder and she pointed out the Clearisil deal that I completely bypassed.

Unless it is for personal use or something that my charities can actually use....I pass them up. Someone else may have truly needed to buy that item.

I can always find someone who can use the free items, whether it's me, my boyfriend, the homeless shelter or someone I know. I don't do every deal every week, but I do roll ECB's and RR's. Rolling them helps me to continue getting very cheap or free items to donate or that I can use.

Donate or Distribute
I too like many of the posters before me donate to the family shelters, local church groups, or Ronald McDonald House. I also distribute many of the items to family and friends. They really appreciate getting anything that I can share with them. Like many of us, anything we can get for free is helpful.
I did take stock this weekend on the amount of items I had and decided to cut WAY back on toothpaste, shampoo, and lotion. However, my goal is to stock up on household items (Heath & Beauty, Paper Products, canned goods) as my hubby is going back to school full time in the fall so we will be down to a single income.

I just wanted to post that the Clearasil advertised is for the daily face wash. You don't necessarily need to have acne to use it because it acts as a daily cleanser. So it is not really a waste to buy it just for the ECB because anybody can use it.

Yes, I buy what I can as long as it is free and if I don't use it myself, I donate it.

I would guess that a lot of serious couponers would have a need for an acne cleanser, If having hungry teenagers is not a huge incentive to use coupons then I don't know what is
The stores don't necessarily have a lot of the item on the shelves either maybe 3/4 in my store if I'm lucky. I don't know why so many people feel that if the item they want is not available then it must be because 'others' have been taking unfair advantage. JMHO
