Default Cvs or walgreens system ?

I am new to all of this couponing and RR and ECb's. Which store system is the easiest to learn ? I have walgreens, rite aid and Cvs all with in distance and not sure which one of them to try. I was reading the information here about Cvs and was feeling a little confused, Rite Aid seems like the less likely for me to try so I am between Cvs and Walgreens I think they seem to have the best deals, but I could be wrong. Any advice, or suggestions. Do both CVS and Walgreens have paper receipts that print out ? That you use ? Sorry a little confused. Thanks all

Since I am new at this I think CVS is easiest since you don't have to worry about what you spend the ECBs on and you don't have to have same number of items to coupons used. The bad thing is you can only do a deal once or maybe three times. We don't have a Rite aid anywhere so don't know what to tell you there. Wags has so many rules and it depends on the day what they will do but you have to have same number of items to coupons, can't use rr for an item to buy the same item in another transaction or you won't get rr. The rules change there daily so what goes one day won't the next. We did finally find a Wags that is consistant and the cashiers are very friendly but it's an hour away for us.

If I had the option, which I don't, I would choose CVS over Walgreens any day. But I have a Walgreens 30 minutes from my house and CVS is 2hrs away so guess where I go.
Going to Walgreens is kind of like a choose your own adventure book. How well the deal works is totally based on your cashier and your store manager's attitude to the register rewards program. Some people love it and have cashiers and managers that cheer them on for getting deals and actually know how the RR system works (there are quirks) and others don't understand it at all and seem to think the money you are saving comes right out of their pocket/bottomline.

I do both CVS and WAGS, but CVS is much easier to learn and to continue with. At CVS, you can spend your ECBs on almost anything, it doesn't matter how many items you purchase at a given time, and you have a longer expiration date than the RRs at WAGS. The restriction at CVS is that you have to use a personal card, and that limits you to only being able to buy a certain number of items giving you back ECBs. I never need more than that anyway, so it doesn't matter to me. Also, many CVS stores have the spitter-outer, so you get extra Qs when you come into the store.

Definitely CVS. I have not been to my Walgreens since they cancelled the Free After Rebate deals, and I still have $30 on my giftcard to spend!

Both. Compare the deals each week. For example, this week Walgreens has Colgate Visible White toothpaste at $4.49, but the RR gives you back $4.49 to spend next visit so the end price is free.

CVS has the same toothpaste at a lower purchase price of $3.99 and gives back $2.00 in Extra Bucks, so the end price is $1.99.

Other deals may work the opposite. Walgreens will print the rewards seperate from the receipt so make sure you get that before you leave. CVS will print out on the same receipt.

Spend the bucks or rewards on other items that are cheaper than normal to stretch them out. Use with manufacturer coupons to further lower the price.
