The major difference between the CVS Easy Bucks Program and the Walgreens Register Rewards Program is that Walgreens won't allow you to use more coupons than you have items in your basket.
So if you have coupons for every item, as every good couponizer should, AND you try to use RR's, they won't take them (corporately speaking)... This is a total sham, and corporate should be made aware that their most loyal customers are angry about it, particularly with the removal of their rebate program. That said, let's start a post to find the CHEAPEST item in Walgreens. Add those to your cart, and then you'll have more items than coupons. I had to buy an extra newspaper this weekend, which of course will give me more coupons, but ONLY IF I'M ABLE TO USE THEM. Again, we as the consumers need to hold corporate accountable- as we have all paid $$$ to get these RR's back. We shouldn't be penalized for finding a good deal. Post your items here for the most inexpensive thing you can buy at Walgreen's and that way it won't cut into too much of our savings at Walgreens. This is the only solution I can think of, until corporate can give us a valid reason why they have implemented such a weird policy. |

I agree with the holiday "stuffers", before and after the holidays. The next place I hit is the clearance section. There is usually something there (a brush, a lipstick, etc.) cheap and I could use.
My next option (which is what I use most often actually) is milk. My Wags promises "the lowest price in town" and they often are. If we are even close to needing some milk, I'll grab a gallon as a filler. They often have can pet food on a clearance (one brand or other) for about .50, so I might grab one of them. If all else fails, I'll grab a pack of gum or something for the kids. |

When I first started couponing at WAGS I would grab anything for a filler, usually whatever was at the register, but I have learned to make sure I have something I actually need and will use. Sometimes its a drink, something from clearance, something that is on sale but I don't have a Q for (I know but it does happen sometimes) It ranges from .99 to a couple of dollars, I rather do that than have something I don't want.

Within the past week, I've used:
.12 votive candles .15 breath drops I *HATE* making sure you have enough items/coupons/RR thing. I'm about stockpiled on HBA. I'm going to quit shopping at Wags. It's too much of a hassle and the policies vary from store to store regarding the RR... I just can't stand trying to keep up with it! I wish we had CVS
