Default Loss Prevention following me (kinda long)

So today I noticed this prepy looking dude with GAS X & a FIJI bottled water in his hand...my first thought, I think I have a coupon (I was looking for the mylanta deal) I hesitated offering it and just wondered off. CHA-CHING! There was the clearance rack 75% off! Whoo hoo. I notice some Pantene, LP Vive Pro and C&C Absorbing sheets so I decided to look in my binder to see what I could match up. (this rack is in the back corner of the store) DONE! Then I remember I have a RC for those RL Face Wipes which happen to be next to the CSO, so I scanned all of my clearance items (found some errors) and noticed the nerdy guy again! Hummm... another gas-x guy. Either there are a lot of gassy guys at lunch time or LOSS PREVENTION. WHATEVER, I am not doing anything wrong-just bargain shopping. I made a quick turn to reach for the face wipes and he nearly ran into me. I almost turned to him to say "are you just admiring my beauty? or can I help you? since you have been following me around." second thought, maybe not worth it. I kept my mouth shut and went over to my friendly cashier who greets me "my favorite coupon lady! Where have you been?" i told her I noticed security had been following me & teased her about having my picture up in the back for shopping there a lot. (i've only been to this CVS 3x but had great success) She told me not to worry about it because I was just being smart with my money.

(The cashier is always very helpful and trust everything I say when I notice things ring up wrong. This experince won't make me hesitate going back because SHE has the best CS skills around)

Oh well! Another experience under my Couponing belt.

Ever since I started using Q's, one of the members of management follows me around and makes a point of standing over the register when I am checking out. I laugh it off, but it irritates me because he acts like I am taking $ out of his pocket by using my ECB's and my Q's together. He never says anything though! Funny thing is, he's the same manager that I wrote an e-mail to CVS about how helpful he is and how nice he is. If he continues this or says something that I dont' like, they'll get ANOTHER e-mail but it wont' be friendly!

I had a first today too. I was at Jewel doing my usual rolling of Catalina's and my $30 worth of merchandise came to about $1.00 after coupons. I was using the self check machine when (I thought) the self-check area staff member came over to fill paper. I walked back as I wanted to ask her a question about the GM buy 10 get $10 ONYO sale.

She about jumped out of her skin when I said excuse me. That's when I noticed she had all of my coupons in her hand and was examining them. I pretended I didn't notice and asked her my question. I think she was embarrassed as she just put them back in the machine.

Good thing everything was on the up-and-up.

do you ever wonder who lurks on here to learn our "little dirty secrets for cheating at the grocery store".......... hope they get an earful of how we are an ethical part of humanity!

Sorry, having spent time in Russia in a small town of 30,000 people with 900 security guards watching 5 Americans has warped my sense of humor

    Default Manager issues

I have a Manager in my local Rite Aid that will come over when I am checking out and look at each coupon and item to make sure that I am not doing anything wrong. She even called another store to see if she could take one of my coupons and took up 30 min of my time before she would ok it.

I AM NOT STEALING! and should not be made to feel that way.

I hate feeling like they are watching me too, but it could be worse, I hate walking in stores and they never even acknowledge you're there- like the clothing stores in the mall that are supposed to be in your face... lol

I just make their job easier when I'm at the drugstore. I make sure my cart is in plain view, so it doesn't look like I'm hiding stuff, when I'm digging in my coupon binder I again make sure that's all I'm touching so it doesn't appear I'm trying to get one past them and then make eye contact with those that keep following you. And if it's to the point that they are invading my personal space or making me feel uncomfortable, I will say something to them or leave.
