How are the roads in Campbell County today? I have to drive over tomorrow and I can't get out of my driveway here.

Just a heads up about WGs. Not sure if yours is the same but at ours the sale ad comes out with the newspaper on thurs. The ad says sale starts on Sun. but at ours it actually starts on thurs when ad comes out. They honor both the new ad and last weeks ad untill Sun. So that means if I wait till Sun. for the new deals they are already gone! Just learned that a couple of weeks ago from a friend who works there.

Well around where I'm at they're fine but I wonder about back roads and such because they've called off school again. I think you should be fine on the main roads. I was in town today and they were all clear.

We see our ad's in Friday's paper but as far as I know, the sales won't start until sometimes Saturday night. Not sure what time though. I can tell you that when WAG's had their $10 blow dryer deal before Christmas I figured since we were out early that morning I would go in and see if they had any left (figuring they didn't but it didn't hurt to check). The cashier said they were sold out since 4:00 that morning. That kind of tells me the sales don't start until midnight but like I said, I am not sure. Now with CVS, the majority of the time Sunday's sales are put into the computer on Saturday night and usually are in effect around 6pm Saturday night. Now with that said, the sales might ring up, but there has been instances where the ecb's won't print for some reason or another.

They have already called School off here too. I have a really understanding boss who doesn't mind if I have to work at home from time to time, so I am pretty sure I will be staying put, at least until up in the day some. Besides I hate to get my kids out when it is so darn cold and slick. Our diveway is covered by trees so it takes forever for the snow to melt away...and it is too long to shovel. I try to go by the Wags on thur (I always go in Campbell County) and then I go to the CVS there too. I think the ladies at your CVS are pretty helpful. There are a couple of ladies at Wags there that could be a little more friendly...and once one of the ladies told me that they didn't allow for coupons to be used along with wags coupons (stacking) so I asked her why Wags put a little notice in their paper to watch for manufacturs coupons in sundays paper, she called this little manager guy and he got that straitened out. I am surprised that I said anything because generally I let that stuff go. I can't catch a deal at the Food City over there, I only go in an emergency case.

I know what you mean...the CVS deals get wiped out so quickly. I mean, how many of those items can those folks really use? And to just clear the shelves and not leave any for anyone else is a little selfish, in my opinion.

For instance, the Soy Joy bars at CVS...I read on one of the threads that someone thought they tasted like cardboard but got them and threw them in their "donate" box. I'm not saying that was someone from Crossville, but if they don't like an item, why buy it? My teenage daughter is health-conscious and would have loved to have some of those to take to school with her but I was out of luck.

Yep I never go to Food City and only go to WG's on Thurs if I go at all. After that they're usally sold out and I have to agree with you about the cashiers. I've come to really like our CVS. Oh, and I don't blame you at all for staying in tomorrow. It's cold!

I have tried going to Walgreen's at midnight on Saturday night once...still trying to get that one straightened out. The RR's didn't print, some of the prices rang up wrong, etc.

I will say, to the manager's credit (Anthony)...I haven't met him but did have an instance before where I couldn't get a "free after rebate" item because they never had it in all month and then got it in two days after the month ended. I e-mailed customer service and he sent me a credit to use for the next month plus a whole bunch of other coupons to use.

I am still trying to get that other fiasco straightened out with him and he has been very responsive. Maybe I need to let him know how the cashier and asst. mgr. are making me feel.

Speaking of Crossville, I found a really good deal at our Dollar General last week. In their Christmas clearance was Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix (pouches) with no price. I asked at the register and they were $.87!!! I had two coupons for $.40 off each so I got two for $.47...sometimes I forget the Dollar General takes coupons.

Last week was good for me in finding deals. I love it when I hit Wal-Mart when they have just wheeled out their clearance carts to the front.

I got three summer "Hannah Montana" shorts pajama sets ($1.00 each piece) and three packs of underwear for myself (three pair in each pack---9 pair total) for $12. I thought that was great, since one of the pj sets alone was originally $12!
