Exclamation MAINE couponers interested in donating!?

Hi there! I work for a preschool that is a non-profit with the University of Maine system, though they're looking to shut us down soon due to funding issues. Is there anyone from Maine who would be willing to do some couponing for things like snack foods (cereals, teddy grahams, animal crackers, fruit, etc.), juices, paper cups/napkins/small plates and maybe even things like tissues, cleaning products, dish soap, etc?!

We currently spend about $3500 a year on snacks for the kids & cleaning products, paints, paper, etc. (the kids bring their own lunches). So even if we can cut that number only in half with donations & coupons then we're still working on closing a big budget gap.

Thank you so much for all of your help and time!

(MODERATOR'S NOTE: I went ahead and approved this message, but we do not know who this is. Also for a first post asking for things and wanting to meet members appears a bit unsafe to me. Please use your best judgement and be careful. I did not want to not approve this and someone actually be able to help a true need.

(If anyone from Maine is worried about location, don't be, I travel a lot to both southern Maine (Portland area) and to northern Maine as well. So I would be very willing to pick up things if you're willing to help us out!)

Thanks Moderator for your concern, but trust me I am out to scam NO ONE. This is my first post here only because I've only used the grocery and drugstore deals tools on couponmom.com. I didn't even look at the forums until the other day when I knew I would need help to keep this preschool open, and since I've been using coupon mom for almost a year now and I know thousands of people do, I knew there would be some awesome people on here willing to help!

Our preschool is in serious jeopardy of closing, but we've been open since 1938 and we have helped THOUSANDS of kids and families in the area. Not to mention we provide roughly 100 University of Maine students every year with valuable experience in psychology and child development. We're not just a preschool, we are also a valuable classroom and work experience for college students.

So if anyone feels like they can help in any way with coupons or donating items that you've gotten for free (even just one box of cereal from your stockpile!) would help us stay open and help thousands more families and college students. Even if you aren't from Maine, if you'd like to help just leave a response or a message!

    Thank you so much everyone!

Honey not so worried about you scamming people, but many of our members are a bit too trusting. I would hate to put anyone in any jeopardy so I posted my "warning" so that everyone can decide for themselves. Plus we do not promote any specific charities outside of the military, but do try to be open to new ideas to help those in need. I do my best to protect the members here as much as possible, but I cannot be everywhere all of the time.

    Blessings and Hugs, "Angel"
