    Default Operation Christmas Child

I am new to couponing, and our church is collecting the boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I am sure many of you have probably done this, and I am looking for ideas/deals/suggestions for good items to put in the boxes. Thanks!

This is such an awesome program, for Samaritans purse right? They usually give you a list of age ranges to choose from, like girl age 5-8. Crayons and little coloring books, socks, little candies, and age appropriate toys are great. Dolls for girls or trucks for boys.

I look for stuff all year. Balls, marbles, small notebooks/journals, yo-yos, solar calculators, all kinds of school supplies, ball caps, small dolls or stuffed animals, toys from kids meals, tee-shirts, art supplies -- markers, colored pencils, small pads of construction or drawing paper, fancy edged scissors, plastic cups, washcloths, scrunchies, toy cars. I try to pick things up at after-holiday clearance sales. You can get all the hygiene items really cheap or free -- bar soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes. Just a heads up: make sure you save some shoe boxes before you need them! One year we didn't have any and ended up buying plastic shoe boxes at WalMart.
