I've never heard of this, but you might check with assisted living facilities. Maybe their residents might want to pick up cards to give to their friends there? Or you could give them to a Girl Scout troop if they would agree to send them to nursing home residents, or people in the hospital. Wonder if the facilities could keep them updated with a weekly list using only first names?

Send them to troops.
To send them to the troops, you can go to the web site: anysoldier.com. Under "where to send" you can pick out a contact person to whom you would like to help support. Most troops could use cards; you can also use the "search" tool and type in cards or greeting cards for those who have asked specifically for them.
You can also send them to St. Jude's Ranch for Children for their recycled card program. They accept cards year-round.

You might try making some donations to nursing homes where they have activities like Bingo - they are always looking for small prizes to give out to the residents.
Leanna - I have sent many, many boxes via anysoldier.com. However, I did not know, until I read your post, that you could 'search' the database for specific requested items. Thank you for that information!
