Default Donating to a food pantry ...

I have a question about this... there is this church i drive by every once in awhile but on it sign says every saturday food pantry at 1 pm

well i drove by there last saturday about 11:30 and there was a line wrapped around the building. I would like to donate to them but i have a few questions:

    1. do i just show up with some stuff ? And if so what time should i get there, i dont want to stand in that line...

    2. should i go and asked them if it is ok to donate some stuff, even though i am not a member of that church ??

i knew there was more questions but that is all i can think of right this second.

Call the church or show up early the morning of the pantry. Our pantry likes me to drop stuff off when they are not open so that they have time to unpack everything and put it on the shelves.

I'm sure they will be thrilled to hear from you!

I donate to ours pretty regularly now and it always makes me feel good to know I'm helping others.
    Always ISO:

    $4 Glade Sense & Spray
    Hellmans/Best Foods Mayo
    Kraft BBQ sauce
    A-1 steak sauce
    Iams dry dog food
    Coffee Mate Liquid
Ziploc/Hefty Zip or Trash bags $1+
    Lil Critters Gummy Vites

Let me know what you need in trade.

twins is correct......and they will be thrilled with whatever you donate.... three of my neighbors who go to a different church/mosque donate to our church since its around the corner and serves the members of our community

one word: beware that if you want a receipt for donation not every church gives one, ours doesn't

Church Pantries like to have empty boxes as well as Food and Non Food frequent items. They really accept anything. Typically you could call the Church and leave a message or speak with them directly and inform them that you have items to assist their pantry with and leave your first name and phone number and when is the best time that you would be willing to drop the items off or if that doesnt work if there is a time frame that they would like to let you know they could be there for the items to be dropped off. Lots of them like baby accessories, wipes and diapers the 24-7 using things as well as women and men products and canned and boxed items.. good way to use coupons and donate or find clearanced items and donate Chruches are getting used more now then they have in years.. Nice of you to donate They would probally also use samples if you ever request samples
