Default 1 pkg of chocolate pudding

my dh was at the food pantry Saturday when a little girl who comes every week asked..."Do you have any more pudding? that chocolate pudding was sure nice...."

that evening we were shopping when he asked if I had any cpns for pudding mix....I didn't but we got the pack of pudding anyways...he's so excited to be able to tell her he has a pack just for her....

it's the little things folks that make the difference....1 pack of chocolate pudding at a time

The small things mean so much. my daughter has a few friends whose families are having it real hard. One of the young girls was here last weekend. she was looking at my stockpile closet and amazed. I asked her to pick out anything she might need. she picks out some girl stuff but hesitates over the body sprays. I could tell she wanted them but wouldn't ask. I told her that I had gotten 4 of them for free and if she wanted them, she could have them. ( my daughters dont use them). That sweet child lit up like a Christmas tree. Those moments are priceless. sharing is a wonderful thing. blessed in so many ways.

My son just did his Eagle project and he pledged a truckload of food to our local food bank. We delievered 19 boxes. We collect lots of cans, but donated things that my children liked in thinking that other children would like the same.

That was a great story! How heartbreaking.........

I have driven by one of our local food banks a couple times when there were lines of people (waiting to get in?). I was absolutely heartbroken to see that a vast majority of the people there were elderly. I have worked with the elderly for many years and know all too well that do I buy my medications or food dilema. I don't know........the sight of it broke my heart though.

I know that Stephanie started this site because she wanted to help food pantries etc. I believe that the people on this site have exceeded her expectations. I am proud to be a part of this group.

My husband travels all week.....he gets home either in time to take me to dinner on Friday night or like this week at 11 pm but he is at that food pantry every Saturday at 9 am stocking the shelves. It is important to him and he is always excited to see what bargains I've found over the week that he can take in with him.

another story he shared with me this week: A widow who comes every week, has two teen boys. She asked my dh "Do you have any drinks? I would love to give my boys a surprise of something besides water to drink."

you never know what would make somebody's day!
