Default I didn't get the coupons

I went to Safeway tonight and made a donation, but they didn't give me a coupon book. I'm in California - could it be they aren't offering them in my area?
I really should have asked, but there was a big line behind me and the person before me had asked a million questions already. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow and ask about it.

yeah you will have to ask if they don't give you one. The last time I went in and donated she forgot and I asked if they were still doing them and she said "oh yeah totally forgot". Mine has a table with cupcakes, water and the books. You can just put a donation in the jar and help yourself to a book and a water or a book and a cupcake. I would go back and ask for sure.

Don't worry about the line either.. Whenever I am taking way too long I look at the person behind and see what they have on the belt and I start pulling q's out from my binder if I have any for their items. Then say "here you go, Sorry for the delay". They usually get so happy and tell me no problem

What a great idea...I usually gift q's to people standing around figuring out what to buy but never thought of paying off disgruntled line people. Fabulous!

Default Update on Q book

They had these on the counter at the customer service desk in my SAFEWAY...Just sitting up there. Asked if a donation was needed and was told no....so I grabbed two...Guess diff stores diff policies....Next time you're in there just ask the customer service desk...
