Attention Those in the St Louis Area

I am a teacher in the St. Louis Public Schools. As most of you know we are not the riches school district. You may hear negative news on our district but we really do have good kids that try hard and beat the odds they are against. This is an e mail I got from the board office and thought I would pass it on to you all. If you could help us out and get a child started out on the right foot it would be a blessing. I am an instrumental (band and strings) teacher and if anyone know of anyone wanting to give away an old instrument or anything please let me know. Every little bit helps.


Hello co-workers! As most of you know, our annual SLPS Back to School Festival is around the corner. The event will be held Saturday, August 8th. I am coordinating the door prizes for the event and I need lovely items! I am asking you because of your kind heartedness and your generous spirit which you have shown in the past. The attendance gifts will be given out to parents who have children in our school district.

I need the following items: detergent, children socks, Kleenex, toiletry items (such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc) dishwashing detergent, and paper towels. I also welcome house hold items such as bath towels, etc. Whatever YOU wish to give, it will be appreciated. Feel free to give me as much or little as you can. Every little bit helps. You can wrap them in pretty wrapping paper or bring them to me as is and I can wrap them!

I NEED TO RECEIVE THE ITEMS FROM YOU BEFORE FRIDAY, JULY 31 BY 3 P.M. I can come and pick up the donations from you or you can kindly walk them to me.

Feel free to pass this on to some additional folks that you believe would love to give! I thank you, in advance, for your loads of goodies!!
