Wow, how nice of your daughter! I am sure the food banks are appreciative of your offer, but they may not be set up to accept the cards, even if they would like to. And they have to follow guidelines. I think the idea of donating food bought with the cards is a great one. And/or, you may find charities in your area that specify they can accept gift cards. I know of a local organization in my town that accepts gift cards. (It is not a food pantry, however; they have a different mission.)

Thanks Everyone, We continue to do this coupon mom style and are stockpiling everything we can find that's reasonable between the multiple stores....Will take a picture of it once we are finished and before we bring it down to the food bank.........

We spoke with the person running it and they were very happy to have some helpers. They serve a meal at the end of the month to seniors (prior to social security checks coming in) and they send home a bag of supplies..We have a good amount gathered but they want to change up their meal (They have been serving pasta, salad and bread since the beginning of the year). They are looking for whole chickens...So with the rest of the money we are going to get as many whole chickens as possible....I am also thinking about emailing Tyson and Perdue to see if they could send me some coupons.?? Has anyone done this with these companies? I figured I would have my daughter tell her story and the story of this wonderful little church.
