My husband is among the Marines who have been sent to Afghanistan to develop a new American base. They really have a whole lot of nothing where they are right now, so needless to say moral is pretty low. I've been sending packages to his platoon as often as I can buy and build them, but I wanted to put it out to all my fellow couponers that if you're looking to donate some of your savings, I know these troops would greatly appreciate it.
If you're interested in sending something, please let me know and I will PM you the mailing address. Thanks All! |

What kinds of things do they need? Are you looking for coupons or the items themselves?
Are the packages for men or women or both? Would you like to include some books? |

They would need items themselves, they have no stores or shops where they are. I've been sending a mix of things, food, toiletries, drink mixes, magazines, air fresheners... They really don't have anything except what the brought with them, so anything is always appreciated. His platoon is mostly men, a few women, ages range.
