My husband is a comic book collector, and he also donates G-rated comics he's not keeping to the food bank, as they have a table for kids' books, etc.

I once worked with a company that had a lot of people traveling on business. So in their lobby, they set up a donation bin for the little soaps, shampoo, etc. you get at hotels. What a great idea!

My dentist gives me a free toothbrush every time I visit. But I prefer another brand. So I donate the ones he gives me (which are all wrapped) to the food pantry too.

Default Golden Harvest Foodbank

I am volunteering at the Golden Harvest Foodbank. I appreciate your wanting to donate items. There is a tremendous need for food, etc. since the economy is bad. For example, my son helped put out 10 pallets of bread that were donated this week; before he left that day, 7 pallets of the bread were taken to be distributed to the local food pantries and agencies. This shows you how much food is needed. At Golden Harvest, we do not donate directly to individuals but have the local food pantries and agencies distribute it to needy people.

Please watch your expiration dates and donate well in advance of the expiration date. I hate waste and things that have to be thrown.

Keep up the great work Coupon Mom ladies!
