I think that will work!! you can have it to where people mail you teh coupons - then once a month you go to the post office and get a military flat rate box and mail it!!

I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I just contacted the ACS (Army Community Services) on our base and the volunteer coordinator is collecting expired coupons to send oversees as well.

I would encourage everyone to take there packages to the post office and have them weighed- Even if you have a regular size envelope- weigh it- those coupons weigh more than what you think.

Default Many Thanks

Hi everyone

I just wanted to let you all know that your time is very much appreciated. Today I received a stuffed Gallon sized bag of coupons from our Fleet and Family Support Center here at NAS Sigonella (Sicily, Italy) that was from "Imasugarfree". These coupons help out so soooo many families. The military paycheck gets stretched to the limits sometimes and with larger families and newborns these programs are invaluble. When new families move into our community we put together baskets and always include ample ammounts of coupons for the basic neccessities because we can't pack out detergents, cleaners, or any other liquids with our belongings. Think about all those cleaning supplies and that pantry full of canned foods... its really adds up!! So just in case you were wondering if these programs help and who's hands they end up in, I wanted to say Thank you!!!

Meagan

Aww, you are so nice to post. And thanks so much for all you do. I appreciate not only our service members but the families who support them!

It is good to hear from someone who sees exactly how the expired Qs help our troops overseas. And how nice for the new families to receive those baskets. What a great idea. I send my Qs to a local American Legion auxiliary, and they in turn send them overseas. It is good to get a picture of how our Qs might be used there. I really appreciate that you took the time to post.

I agree with you - we are here in Japan- and I always get a group of ladies together about every 2 weeks and we sit and drink wine after all teh kiddos have gone to sleep and we sort coupons and make up baggies to pass out to houses.
