OK so anyone live in Kansas and shop at Dillon's? I know everyone says to check out the Kroger deals but I think we can all say that they are not the same. Anyone with me on this?

Dillons pulled out of the Kansas City area last year, so while I agree Dillons does not equal Kroger, my nearest one is Lawrence, so I just don't bother. I did hit them once b/c I was taking DD to spend the weekend in Topeka w/ Grama and Papa, but that was before I knew about short-cuts and everything great. So while I still have my Dillons card it just sits in my wallet, all forlorn. I tell myself that if I heard of something really, really great I might try and swing a trip to Lawrence, but in reality I don't know how I would know there was something really great b/c I don't get their ads and I'd have to go online and look every week just in case. It just doesn't happen that way. Every time I've checked so far I couldn't justify the gas (or travel time.)
So, while I hope I'm wrong, I haven't seen anyone on here from KS outside of Johnson County. Good luck!

I thought that Dillons and Gerbes and Kroger were all pretty much the same. I am at the Lake of the Ozarks and we have Gerbes and it matches up with the Kroger ads exactly. I'm surprised that Dillons doesn't.
The couple of times I've seen something interesting on the Kroger board I've looked online at the Dillons ad and it's not the same. I know that my shopper card for Dillons works at Kroger (and City Market, which is another Kroger name in Colorado), but the ads don't always sinc.
Dillons was pretty much my only choice until Hy-Vee came to town. Now I alternate between the two.
I go to the Lansing KS Dillons.... our local choices are:
Dillons, Price Chopper, CountryMart, Walmart, Kmart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, L&V outlet, Aldi, CVS
Our Dillons, Doubles every day up to $1.00, and they also are linked with Cellfire.
I'm new to this whole coupon world and I didn't even kNOW until last week that they doubled.
Today at lunch.. I just HAD to test the cellfire feature.
Today is the last day of the local Dillons ad....
Cherios varieties $1.67 (with shopper card)
Hamburger Helper for $1.65 (with shopper card)
My Dillons doubles up to $1.00 and I used the .50 coupon from Sunday's paper...
Signed up for Cellfire.com and then loaded the HH .50 coupon directly on my DILLONS card
Ran to the store during my lunch for the big test….
Cherios q doubled to $1.00 making them $ .67
HH, Cellfire popped up on screen making it $ 1.15
Cellfire did not double, but it was funny because it made the Cashier do a double take...
$2.03 was my total a 63% savings!~
1 box of Honey Nut cherios
1 box of Hamburger helper
I am not in KS but I shopped the Arkansas City Dillons today..............my best shopping savings trip to date (began 3/1/09) This was my first time to shop their store. I was pleased with everything except round trip drive.
The only thing I found not on sale that was on my 'list' was the salad/potato Finishers................and I had a $1 q on it, I left it since it wasn't a need item.
This store is a drive for me out of Oklahoma.............but seemed to have some great sales on things I would buy and had multiple coupons for -------it may be worth the trip once every few weeks.
My only local grocery store options are Food Pyramid, Super Walmart, and ALdi's.
Since I've been couponing I've come to LOVE my Dillons..... they double up to $1.00, they are linked with P&Gesavers, Shortcuts, Cellfire, and Upromise...
They also have the most skilled cashiers when it comes to q's......
So far I've been to country mart, price chopper, walmart and Kmart... and NONE of them even come close to the ease of use of Q's at Dillons.
I will say that my CVS is good too.............
Being built right now is a Wamart Super Center and a Walgreens...... A LOT for my little town!
I did great at Dillons Friday!
