Default question on prescription

Hello - today in the mail there was a CVS flyer "get a $25 shopping spree when you transfer your prescription today" Expires 1/03/09. Good in AZ only. Anyone need it?
Does anyone know if CVS has incentives for new prescriptions?

CVS usually honors other competitors pharmacy ads. So if you can find one to walgreens or some other store- try it at cvs.

I'm a pharmacy tech at a supermarket---little company called Food City. Anyway, I've worked at CVS, and also at Walmart. CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreen's, (here in SWVA, anyway) all give $25 to $30 gift cards for all new or transferred prescriptions. It's nothing to transfer scripts back and forth between them. We don't offer anything, nor does our Walmart. We lost several customers when Walgreens first opened less than a yr ago, but most of them came back. They only left for the gift card, and then regretted leaving b/c they like our customer service.

Harold,

Checked in Chandler today @ my CVS and they said that they used to offer incentives for new prescriptions, now they only do the $25 thing for transfers . Don't know if this is AZ across the board though. I would call your local store, it may vary. Let us know what you find out.
