Default Very Disappointed in My CVS

I went to CVS this evening to get a few things. I had my list and coupons in hand. Not a single thing on my list matched my store's prices. The last time this happened, I had a list for the following week rather than the current week. Now, I always make sure my dates match. I asked the cashier if they already changed prices for the next week. He said not til midnight. I realize prices can be different from region to region but I'm not usually completely off. I don't know what happened.

My CVS changes the price TAGS at around 6 pm the last night of the sale, but the price itself is still the sale price. Maybe you overlooked that?
These are the things I am in search of:

    - Any coupons for Floss
    - Any type of pasta (not pasta sauce)
    - Coke, pepsi, etc.
    - Tide
    - Crest/Colgate

These are the things I have no use for and could trade for:
    - ANYTHING Baby
    - Pretty much anything canned: Canned soups, canned pasta, canned pasta sauce, canned fruit
    - Pretty much anything frozen: frozen vegetables, frozen meals, frozen smoothies, frozen pizzas / pizza bites
    - Feminine care products
    - Anything bacon

Yes, I was going to say the same thing. Always check the price at the red box price scanner. Even though the tags weren't up the sale was still good.

At my store, we start popping tags off as early as noon, though usually it's not until 2:30 or 3 (when I arrive, because I am usually the one stuck popping them.) We then start putting up our new tags for the next sale as early as 5 or 6 pm. But in the computer, the old ad is active till midnight, the new ad usually doesn't activate until 9pm. At least, that's what I am assuming happened.

I also have shopped at CVS and Wags where many of the sale tags aren't even up. That's why I started bringing in my own ad with me so I can double check the ads while I'm in the store. Many folks get irritated when the tags aren't up, but I don't. The walk through customer's don't realize it's such a great deal and pass by, so it'll end up where I'm actually able to get the items I wanted, rather than the store be sold out.

Courtney, it sounds like you were just early for the new prices. I agree with the others- take the ad with you, and check all the prices on the red box scanner. I stopped shopping at any of local Wags bc they never put the sale price tags up, and when I'd get there (before I took a list or an ad with me) I would get so confused as to what was on sale and what wasn't, I'd just give up and leave. That's why I don't shop at Wags anymore.

But on a good note with CVS: I went to my CVS on a friday to get some Azo for my daughter. I looked at the shelf and the next week's sale tags were up, they were just adhered backwards. I was confused, so I took one down and looked at it....as of Sunday the Azo was going to be on sale BOGOF, so I put the tag back like I found it, walked out of the store, and came back two days later for a great bargain. I was just surprised to see the tags already up for a sale that wasn't starting for two more days! My CVS rocks.

Also, you can check the price at the red box before you check out. Our store changes tags before l:00 on Saturday so until I got used to that I would just scan the item to make sure it was priced right.

I was going to say.....be sure to go to the store the first few days they open as they sometimes have giveaways in addition to the coupons you get in the mail.
