Thanks for the info! I am still so new to CVS!!! I had one question that I didn't find: ECBs are the thing when you can spend your money at certain times a years, right?

You can spend ECB any time. You receive 2% back on your previous quarter spending, in the form of an ECB quarterly.

Believe me, these ECBs are a lifesaver. I've been told several times at my store that I seem to use them better than most of the customers.

you can also earn them through purchases as detailed in your CVS weekly flyer
i.e. if you buy abc item at X dollars, we give you Y back in ECB's, therefore, the product only costs x - y.
The trick then is to "roll" them over. Meaning, you use those ECB's dollars to purchase an item, but an item (or items) that give you more ECB's. Check out the CVS forum for peoples posts on how they are "rolling" their ECB's.

Please tell me about.....
How you handle the CVS card, with the ECBs. I looked thru this entire post and came up empty.
For instance, I was at CVS last week, purchased the Aussie shampoo, then forgot to give the cashier my CVS card, and she mentioned something about I have to start my transaction with a scan of my card so that I can get the ECB's. Really, am I missing something here? I got the ECB's on my receipt that printed out at the end of the transaction. This whole thing reminds me of the cards you have to use at Kroger, they just irritate me at times to have them all in my wallet. So, let me know, do you have to first scan the CVS card??

It shouldn't matter if you scan the card first, last, or in the middle- as long as you scan it before you pay, you'll get your ECB's. It's totally worth hanging onto them- FREE MONEY!
