My 845 AM CVS Trip
Well,
I had a late start this morning. I forgot to set my alarm and I didn't get any Sunday papers early yesterday, so I got up at 830ish, bought a "double coupon" edition of the paper from CVS, and clipped my coupons right in the store. This was my transaction. (Mind you, I'm going back in a few minutes to get more batteries)
4 Glade Glass Scents - 10.00
4 Glade Candles - 10.00
3 packs duracell 21.00
1 CVS Chap Stick .99
1 vaseline lotion 5.99
Total was about 48.00
- 2.25 in duracell coupons (75 cents off each)
- 5.00 duracell tearpad
- 5.00 for glade candles (2 free coupons I had)
- 1.50 for glade candle coupon
- 5.00 for glade glass scents
- 99 for CVS Chap Stick
- 1.50 for vaseline lotion
- 1.00 CVS Coupon off any lotion or bodywash
Total OOP = 22.00
Got back 27.00 in EBS, so a profit of 5 bucks. Not bad for a late start.
I'm heading right back out to do it again.
Has anyone tried to use two tearpads in the same transaction?

I've used two tearpead Duracell coupons in the same transaction, and it worked out fine. This despite the verbage on the coupon of "1 coupon per customer".
For some reason, the only issue I had with the Duracell deal is that the cashier had to scan my Extracare Card twice in the transaction to get the ECB from the prior transaction to go through. She said that she's been having that problem, though.

Cool...I'm hearing that people are having problems using ECBS to pay for the duracell. Did you have that issue?

I did 3 separate transactions for mine since I wasn't sure about using the tearpad coupons in the same one. I'm glad it worked for you! I am curious, did your ECBs print out separately at the end ($15 each) or did they print out a total of $30? I didn't want a huge ECB amount to use up so I was leary of doing that, but maybe I was not correct. Oh, well it's done now!

Ugg our CVS doesn't open until 10 on Sunday's. I got there at 3 minutes till the door opened and there were about 6 people lined up at the door. As soon as the door opened these two women made a mad dash to the Glade Candles and literally took their arms and swooped them into their carts. Didn't leave a 1!! All I needed was 4 and I was not a happy camper! The manager was nice enough to give me a rain check for all 4 (2 rain checks for 2/$5 and stapled a copy of the add w/the ecb info on the raincheck and initialed it so I can have the deal when they come in even if the ecb is over she said she will still give me credit.
That kind of thing just kinda aggrivates me. I realize that if the sale has no limit people have the right to buy as many as they want but I just think that is so rude..especially when they see there are other people waiting to take advantage of the same thing. It kind of reminds me of people at an all you can eat place, especially if there are items such as crab legs involved. We have a chinese restaurant by us that has the crab legs on the buffet on Fri and Sat nights and all day Sunday. No sooner does the waiter put the crab legs out on the buffet the same few people get up and fill their plates until it is all gone so the others behind them get nothing and have to wait another 30 min until they put out some more. You know a buffet is a buffet, take only a few so there is enough for everyone and then go back for 2nds or even 3rds if you want.
Wow I didn't mean to get on a soap box here....sorry...getting back to my original thought. Our CVS will set their Sunday sale items on Saturday night, maybe they all do this, I just learned this info though this morning (the cashier told me) I think from now on I am going to hit CVS on Saturday night especially when there are things I really want like those candles or the St Ive's body wash from last week (the same thing happened last week w/the body wash).
