    Default Free Gold Medal Candy

The coupon spitter gave me a $2 of any 2 Gold Medal candy coupon. Gold Medal is the brand of old-time candies like gummy bears, etc... They are on sale right now for $0.99 a bag so I got 2 bags for free.

At the bottom of the receipt was another coupon for $2 off 2... so I walked out with 4 bags of gummy worms with no OOP cost! (They didn't have what I originally went for so the 2nd transaction was literally...

    "That'll be $2.09."
    "I have a coupon."
    "Here's your receipt."
    "Thank you."

Thanks for this tip, you pushed me to go today! I got the same coupon by scanning, but mine only took $1 off, the saleslday (wonderful!) said, "Now, that is not fair, it says $2 off!" and gave me the $0.98 off too. I also bought Excedrin $1.99 used $2 off manu coupon so free, and 4 cans of Maxwell House, $4.99 each used 2 $1 off 2 manu coupons plus BOGO, so just $2 each.

Thanks again! I got sour gummy worms and gummy bears!

Indiana Mom, my coupon did the same thing. After some huffing on my part the cashier took the other .98cents off. I wasn't sure why it did that. She gave me some stuff about it having to be at least a $2.00 purchase. Is there food tax in Indiana? I know there isn't in Florida which might explain why it only took $1 off.

I don't think we have food tax on groceries, but I know diapers are taxed! I am lucky I had a nice cashier, our Walgreens is great too. She was so nice about giving me the extra $0.98. My kids are home from school now, they are eyeing my sour gummy worms and gummy bears, they already tore into the free candy corn from Sunday! I am loving CVS now, what took me so long to figure this stuff out?!

I took my coupon right up to the cashier and asked if it would work for two of the .99 bags of candy. She said, "I don't see why not!!!" A manager appeared out of nowhere and said it wouldn't work, look at the larger bags.

$1.50 per bag isn't bad, and with coupon it was 2/$1.

The selection was slim though, in the large bags. I had my choice between creme filled caramel chews, butterscotches, I think, dubble bubble and old-people-peppermint.

I took the dubble bubble. Now I can resist the urge when the kids bring home their Halloween loot. I love dubble bubble (for 20 seconds!)
