Default Coinstar machine

I went to the Coinstar machine the other day at CVS since I had so many coins saved up.
They usually charge 8.9 cents per $1.00 which is kinda high if you ask me.
(I am not sure if banks still take unwrapped coins and count them).
Anyway, you can avoid that service fee if you chose to get a CVS gift card. I did it and it was real easy.
They had other gift cards you could chose as well but since I am always at CVS, I couldn't resist.

My bank would take the rolled coins but wanted to charge me .25 for each roll for putting them in my account. Therefore I kept them and spent them at the grocery store.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm fortunate in that my bank has a machine like CoinStar that allows me to take a receipt from it to the teller for deposit. So much easier than rolling them!

Wow, they charge you???? Every location of Credit Union I belong to has them, you get a slip & take it to the teller...-NO CHARGE.
