Default CVS limit question

I understand CVS's policy on limits wrt ECB promotions. My question is on other limits such as on candy deals, paper products, etc that says limit X. Is that limit X per transaction or total? Seems that during the BOGO free deal on Sobe that it was a limit per transaction, but I can't recall for sure. Anyone know? Thanks!

Those limits are per transaction. I have done multiple transactions per day. So the limit is really pointless in my opinion.

I've purchased an item that was on sale with a limit of 1 and the second item rang up full price.

My understanding is the limit is per transaction. But regarding ECB's the limit is per card; so if you have more than one card you can do multi transactions and link the cards via on line.

What is the meaning of linking the cards. What benefits does it offer.

Ok, I did the candy BOGO free deal multiple times (to get the ECB as well). I guess then I'm not understanding the limit, but oh well. It may also help others to know that all Mars candy in the size range listed is BOGO, not just the M&M's and Snickers in the picture.

It offers a couple benefits. If you'd like to get more ECB's for an item that has a limit of 1 and you have plenty of q's and each quarter when they give out the quarterly ECB's you could earn more.

I personally feel that since CVS's policy is one Extra Care Card per household I should only have one. It feels too much like cheating the system. Besides I am already getting so much for free I can leave some for others! Just my thoughts
