Default did i get taken for a ride?

Yesterday I was in CVS and picked up a few deals. When I left I looked at my receipt and noticed I still could do a little suave deal from last month. It showed I needed $3.85 to get my next round of ECB's. I bought 2 body washes (which is what I bought before to build up to the ECB's) and my receipt says the same thing it did and no ECB's. I asked the cashier about it. She didn't know. She called a manager. She didn't know and basically said maybe it was an online deal. Oh Please! The general manager wasn't there or I'd have talked to her be cause I've talked to her alot. Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what to do next. Email corporate and ask them? keep my receipts and try to catch the GM later? What do you folks suggest?

I have had this happen a few times, and I just kept my receipts(before & after). Show them to whatever manager I think can assist me in-store and go from there. In one case, I was issued a gift card, in the others an ECB was forced and that was that.

P.S.

In my cases when this kind of thing happened, the system never "caught" up & the missing ECB did not print. So not sure what the problem(s) was, but luckily there are rarely problems when shopping at CVS.

Sometimes it takes a few days for the updated totals to show up on the bottom of the reciepts. This happened when I did the greeting card deal. I looked online that night and the true totals were shown. The next time I went into the store, the ECB printed for the free card.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of that possibility. I just checked online. It doesn't even show the ECB's that printed yesterday so maybe there's hope. I'll keep checking and if it doesn't change I'll check with the GM.

I agree with the OP- I bet next time you scan at the CSO or make a purchase, it'll spit out your ECB's. If not, show one of the GM's the receipts like Lucy suggested- they'll make it right for you.
