Default CVS and changing prices.

I am slightly amused that the very same shampoo dd bought last week for 1.99 is now on special this weekend BOGO at 3.49 to 5.00. The Carefree 16 ct pantiliners that give back full value in ECB's have never sold for 3.79. I am going to roll my ECB's to get them for free, but still . are they nuts?

My mom says that the stores hike up the prices so that they can put it on sale and then it looks like a good deal. She must have said it at least 10 times today when we were at Kmart.

All retail stores do the same thing. I've even seen Wally World do it; they'll put cookies in a mid-isle display with a 2/$5 sign but what most shoppers fail to realized is that same cookies has been for sale for $2.39 in the regular cookies isle. That is just one example. I know a lot of people who used to work in retail and the stories they told.....WOW!!

This is precisely why keeping price books are encouraged...

Walmart is notorious for hiking the price right before a roll back to play the mind games!

Aren't the 3.49 w/ 3.49 ECB pantyliners the same ones that Wags is doing a week later as 1.99 w/ 1.99 RR? Kinda silly.
