The local CVS manager called, and said he is tremendously sorry about the way I was treated about the coupon book and is sending a $10 gift card in the mail to me.

He held to the notion that it is misprinted in the paper, and I held to the notion that in no way is that my fault!

Exactly. If that was the case it should of been printed somewhere in the store. Like sometimes when they misprint prices for items that are on sale and in the ad there is always a paper about it at the registers...why not for this?

Well I do get my Rx filled at CVS and even I had trouble getting the booklet. I asked to get rx filled. I signed up for the program and then the pharmacist acted like she did not know what I was asking her for. I said you were supposed to give me a booklet with coupons. She says yes, if you asked about the program. I am like WTF, I even signed up for it and you are not going to give it to me? She gave it to me in the end.

You think they are trying to stash them for themselves?

at my store on the sign, it does say you have to sign up for the ready fill program to get coupon book, not sure what it says by the pharmacy counter.
I will probably email customer service with a good email, and mention I am sad that I don't get the coupon book since I don't have any prescriptions, because my CVS and Walgreens rock..have never had a problem, and since some give problems..they should know about the good ones.

I haven't even tried asking for one of things, but I will on Sat. at my local CVS. The fella there has always been friendly with me even though I've never filled out an RX. See what happens.

Crazy they are being so stingy over these booklets when they no one to blame but themselves the ad ?misprints?.

IMO, it was no "misprint." It was printed exactly as it was intended. But they realized that some people might be going to 10 different stores and getting coupons at each store, so they backtracked and tried to qualify it. It's KFC's grilled chicken all over again!

I am STUNNED. In response to the email I sent corporate, I got a call yesterday from the district manager. He said, "I understand you had a problem when you tried to obtain a ReadyFill coupon booklet at the Lafayette Blvd. store...I am standing in that store right now, along with the Pharmacy Manager, and I would like to hear what happened." When I told the story, he said he was "bitterly disappointed" in the pharmacist's actions. He said the coupons are supposed to be given to anyone who asks, regardless of whether they sign up. He even had me describe which pharmacist it was and said he would watch the security tape to confirm who she was so he could address it! Then he said he was extremely grateful when customers give feedback...and he's mailing me a $20 giftcard as a thank-you!!!!!!!!! THIS is why we love CVS--this was seriously the best example of customer service I've ever experienced.
