Default CVS substitutions

I go to my 24 hr store on Saturday night to get all the specials with the ECB's back. I am always so frustrated that they never have anything. Most things are limited to what was in stock and thats not much. Tonight they had 2 packs of index cards. It only takes two coupon shoppers and everything is gone. I have decided not to be angry any more. These cashiers are so nice. I have started asking if they can substitute anything else and they do. And it's almost always a much nicer and more expensive item. They print out the ECB"S for that item and in the end I get so much more for my money. It pays to be nice. I keep coming across the same couple of coupon shoppers. I think that next week, we will exchange numbers and start trading. I love my CVS.

I asked a cashier about substitutions on ECB items and she said (very nicely) they couldn't do it. I think I will ask the manager though. I have rain checks on school supplies from a month ago and I am tired of waiting. Hope it works for me too.

I wanted the Phillips earphones that were on special today and of course- at noon they were all gone. So one of the workers let me substitute and I said oh I only like the ones with the clip behind the ear- so he handed me a $17 product and said substitute this then. Wow! And I got the ECB too! I was so excited I forgot to use my other two coupons..

Just this morning when I went in for the composition books (80 pages), the manager told me they did not have any and that they were substituting the composition books with more pages in them (100 pages). No problem.

Default composition books.

my store was out of the composition books too. The cashier ended up giving me 8 small ones that were ringing up for .49 to fullfill the 3.98 value of the other ones. ( 2 x1.99 =3.98). Sometimes I don't think anything is right in there. the ones ringing up for .49 were priced at the shelf for .99. just took them and left. Happy to get what I get. free is free

I used to get one lady that let me substitute all the time. I haven't seen her lately, so I don't know if she is still around....sadly. Another girl that is usually there on Sundays when I go doesn't like to let me, but actually did when the item was like 1 cent more. :-/ Not as good, but it worked so I could get the ECB. It's a YMMV situation.
