Default CVS Signage

I went to a different CVS yesterday. I wanted to do the Aveeno deal. This store did not have any current signage. The Aveeno had a $11.99 sign. So I figured that I could get 2 and get the $10 ECB. It rang up as $9.99, so I had to go get another one to make the deal work.

Wanted the whitestrips – no signage. They did ring up at the sale price.
It was just so frustrating – trying to figure out the deals with out of date signage.

Also – after rethinking this; I should have had them adjust the price of the Aveeno up to match the sign. That would have been a better deal.

Anybody else’s CVS not keeping the signage up to date?

yep, many stores do this either because of laziness, or they don't want to notify customers of great deals *shrug*

either way, i'm pretty happy because i see the sale in the flier, and even though it's not advertised on the shelf, i know it's on sale because the flier says so.

last week i saw a nice beach chair advertised in the sales flier for $9.99, went to the store to pick it up and it was advertised on the shelf for $17.99 AND rang up for $17.99! i said "nope, flier says its $9.99" and they gave it to me and i paid with $10 ECB's, so no OOP. definitely pays to browse the fliers before going into the store and depending on the employees to do their job by posting the signage.

also, i sent you a PM with some more helpful info in it

hth,

Exact thing happened to me w the Aveeno....I went back the next day and got another and my ECB's. Couple of days later went in for the SoBe BOGO and some other things and price scanned everything as (I thing LUcy) suggested. This won't happen to me again!
I do browse the fliers and make a list, this one slipped by me though...

I ran by the nearby CVS this am before work-no signs on many items this week. I wonder if it's the Sat. evening staff that's dropping the ball?

I always bring my sales ads with me when I go shopping in case there are questions when the items get rung up (sizes, flavors, scents, BOGO's, ECB's, RR's, rain checks, etc) and also check the CSO befor going to the register.

I do the exact same thing - then there's no question what the register is going to charge you.

Thanks everybody! I am glad I am not alone. Will be carrying the flyer with me when I go.

There is a question in my mind.
One item in the flier.. lets say Gillette shaving cream ... is listed as 5.00 USD.
On the shelf it says ............... 5.50
It rings for ----------------------- 5.25

You picked up the right item as per both the flier and the sign at the store. In this cas are you supposed to get the item free ... or one listed in the flier.

Now lets say it rings for 5.55.. then what ?
