So many of us received $4/$5/$10. CVS Q's this past week-how did you best use the $9.99 Freestyle monitor Q to your advantage?
I'm sure this will be helpful to newbies. When I started I would have never thought to even clip a Q for these, let alone buy one to aid in my overall savings at a store. Please share your tale of success.

Ah, some comedians in the bunch, eh?
![]() Well, I did like many folks-worked the 4/20 & 4/30 deal around town, snagging all the Always I could for DW-some places had 2, some 3-I never found a single store that had 4 boxes of any variety. I have some sister-in-laws that will appreciate them AND the razors from Publix this week. I wonder if I have any more Skintimates to go with those... |

I was able to use the Freestyle Qs twice...The first time, I had a $10/$50. They only had 4 monitors left (I even checked at the Pharmacy), so I got 4 and then bought the SoyJoy bars (which daughter loves) that were free after ECBs; those plus a clearance lipstick would get me to over $60 to cover the negative. So my original total was just over $61. Minus $10/$50, minus 4 $9.99 Qs for the Freestyle came to roughly $11, which I paid in ECBs from last week. Then I got $20 in new ECBs from the SoyJoy (I know I could have broken the Soy Joy down into multiple transactions and rolled those ECBs into each other, but I had my 20-month-old with me and didn't have the energy!).
Then, at the register, a new $10/$50 popped out! So I went to a different CVS where I found 4 more monitors. This time, I made up the $10 negative by getting Folgers coffee and more clearance makeup. My OOP was roughly $1. Best of all, I was able to donate all 8 monitors to a local free clinic that has a diabetes care program for the needy. As you said, I would never have thought at the beginning that I should clip a coupon for a blood glucose monitor! But it can really come in handy (otherwise, it would have been impossible to spend $60 at CVS this week--the deals were no good!) and it can help someone less fortunate. Love it! |

The Freestyle monitors were on sale at CVS for $9.99. If you had the $9.99 manufacturer's coupon for them that came in a newspaper insert sometime within the last couple of months (I don't know where I got it because I clip everything right away), they were free.
