Default Dry Idea Gel rings up $2.25

Just got back from CVS and I bought the Dry Idea Unscented Gel and it rang up $2.25 instead of $2.99. Used the $2 off IP and still got $2 ECB! Profit of $3.50 on 2! This was in NE Ohio...don't know if it was a fluke at my store...cashier just shrugged when I pointed out the price. Whatever, I'm not complaining!

I'm thinking I'll go back later this week and try to get 2 more. It's a good MM with the IP.

Interesting. Technically the IP is for the roll on variety - your cashier must not have cared though.

Ok, so seriously this is what happened: I printed the coupon, realized it was for roll-on but when I got to the store I was looking at my options: Yucky sticky roll-on or gel. I opted for the gel. At this point I totally forgot about the coupon being for roll-on. Just handed it over...the cashiers never look anyway or sometimes they look and don't see. I didn't even realize my mistake til i posted this in another forum and somebody mentioned it was for roll-on. oops!

Reading your post made me just realize something. Oops!!!I was going to get the Dri Idea with the IP coupon and ended up grabbing the Rightguard instead for some unknown reason and used the Dry Idea coupon by accident. I totally did not mean to do that. Boy am I glad one of the grouchy managers wasn't ringing me up thinking I was intentionally trying to commit coupon fraud. I'm sorry!!

I also used the IP q for the Dry Idea gel. I didn't even realize the q was only for the roll on until I just read it here! I thought it said for any Dry Idea. Oh well, the register didn't even beep, and the cashier didn't say anything either. But my deoderant did not ring up @$2.25, it rang up @$2.99, but it does say on the receipt: 1 Dry Idea Gel 2.25 2.99T SAVED .30. Anyway, I bought two of them, and it printed the ECB's for both. And my receipt says that I can get 1 more!

In my CVS trip yesterday, I noticed one of my local CVS stores put the Dry Ideas on clearance. I checked the scanner, and they ring up at $3.89!!! I showed them the sale photo, and they said theirs are on CLEARANCE, not SALE, and they will ring up at $3.89 and I will not get ECBs on them. This CVS does this type of stuff way too often! Seems like fraud to me.

Default Dri Idea Clearance

I happened to grab the exact roll on that was pictured in the ad and it wring up at $4.99 without ECB- pointed it out to manager who checked and said that the roll on was on clearance which was why no ECB and high price- but the EXACT one in the picture??? (he gave it to me for the 99 cents it would have been after ECB)
