Went to CVS late tonight to get some last minute deals and there was a sign that said "All manufacturer's coupons must be presented before store coupons". I guess no more getting a lesser OOP for me. Has anyone else seen this?

This would not bother me. The nice thing about the CVS program is that it allows me to get many of my items for free with coupons anyhow....and the sales tax collected goes to help vital resources in the community such as police, fire, teachers, and schools. So if a store allows me to shop for free with coupons....and paying only the sales tax, then it is a win-win for everyone.

Because many of us use CVS coupons such as $4 off $20 purchase. When completing the transaction, if you use Manufacturer's coupons FIRST, then your total might be below $20, therefore you can't use the $4 off $20. If you use the CVS $4 off $20 FIRST, then your Man. coupons, you make out better.
However, one time, I accidentally used a MC before the CVS $4 off $20. It brought the total below $20 and I said, "Oops, I meant to use this one first." The manager who was ringing me up said, "Oh the order shouldn't matter, because the total of your purchase before coupons was over $20" and he was right.....the $4 off $20 went through without a problem. In the future, I still presented the $4 off $20 before the MCs anyway. So.....maybe now they have changed that in the computer system, who knows. |
