Talking Good CVS trip

I have been lurking around here for several weeks and today I finally felt like I was catching on. Here is what I got.

Started with $14.99 in ECB

Purchased

Gillette Fusion Gamer $7.99 - $4.00Q
Loreal Reviatalift Wipes $5.99 X 2 with raincheck
CVS chewable asprin $1.99
2 Stayfree pads $3.99 X 2 used BOGO freeQ
One Touch Meter $19.99 used $19.99Q

Total OOP 9.41 and received $19.99 in ECB for future use.

I do have a quick questions also. I have a $1.00 IP for the Stayfree but the cashier could not let me use with the BOGO. Should I have been allowed to use it?

Good job.

Yes, you can use the $1/1 for the one you are buying. The free one is a result of buying the first. You aren't getting a discount on the first, which is why you should be able to use the Q on the first. It's like the deal I sent DH to the store for this afternoon. I have $1 off pepperoni wyb 2 pillsbury pizza dough. Buying the dough is a condition, but not a discount on the dough, just on the pepperoni. So, I'm using a Q on each of the dough, independent of the pepperoni. The difference is that your deal is for both items on the same product. But it's the same circumstance. I hope that made sense.

I think this one depends on the store.
Technically you only "purchased" one package and the coupon for BOGO likely said " one per purchase", the free one wasn't actually purchased once they process the coupon.
However, my last CVS trip I had bought 4 packages and was able to use (2) BOGO and the $1 off IP, so I really think it's how picky they are trying to be.
