Meijer coupon policy

There was some discussion in another thread as to whether or not Meijer accepts competitor's coupons. Here's the coupon policy off their website. It appears that they do with conditions. Grocery coupons don't seem to be an issue, but general merchandise has to state the price point on the coupon. I'm guessing this is like Walmart's policy that they'll accept competitor's coupons only if the price of the item is printed on it. For instance, Kmart coupon for .99 clorox bleach. I printed it out and I'm going to try it.

It is not a problem. There are many coupon on which price is already written, we will use them.

Also dont let them try to tell you at the checkout that it has to be a LOCAL competitors coupon.
The store floor mgr at the Meijers here tried that on me about using Target coupons as we dont
have a Target store in our town.No-where in the Meijer policy does it say "Local".
I called her on it and the store mgr sided with me.

Meijer will accept coupons from major competitors in each store's trading area, for Grocery and or for Health and Beauty Care items

This is probably what they were saying....
