    Question Publix NOT very nice...

So...I printed out several coupons including ones for Target, that I " thought " can be used at Publix. Off I went to go shopping, and before checkout thought I would verify that they take target coupons. I wanted to use the Beneful dog coupons since publix has b1g1 going on. I asked the woman at the Cust service desk who looked at me as if I had 3 eyes and purple hair..Oh no we DO NOT do that, and NO publix does ? Hummm asked cashier same question and got same results ? When I look up publix on Couponmom site for shopping...some do have mq or sq combined with a Target coupon...so now Im confused ?? Help

They used to take Target coupons at all Publix.....now it's more of a how close the Target is to Publix and if they have a real grocery area so the lists reflect what some stores may allow. Many of our Publix down here in Florida actually printed out little notecards that stated this Publix takes competitor coupons from x, y, and z only.

Well we live in the country and there is nothing within miles of this Publix, also I forgot to mention...
The cashier looked at each coupon in detail, scrolled thru her screen to make sure I bought the product and THEN scanned it. She did this to each coupon- I had almost 30. ! A customer walked up in line and saw this and backed out going to another register..

Your Publix is probably not close enough to a SuperTarget for regional management to consider that individual store a competitor. Emailing customer support from publix.com will usually earn you a call from the store manager and clarification of store policy. You might try again at a Publix closer to a SuperTarget, if you can.

Employees at Publix stores not near a SuperTarget are often unaware of this policy, even the supervisors behind the customer service desk.

No Publix near me will take Target as a competitor. The Publix stores in my area will accept Kroger and another one accepts Whole Foods. At each store, they usually have a poster out front listing the competitor coupons that they accept. HTH

I don't live within 15-20 miles of a SuperTarget and my Publixes accept Target (and Kroger) coupons. Guess I'm lucky.

The ones in my area Do take target cpns as a comp. I have to say it's awesome! They use to take wags and rite aid but not anymore I've noticed. And they do have little papers at the registers with the competitors on it at ours also. I was disappointed that they don't take wags cpns anymore but can't complain much since they still take targets. What I'm most surprised at is their reaction to you was. Publix is known for their awsome customer service, I'm shocked at the way they would treat you like you were crazy for just asking a simple question like that.
