Today a local blogger shared the following article on her website. Sheryl is based out of Phoenix Arizona, and I thought that I would share it with you. Everything below is HER words, not mine!
I have to say Fry's is definately edging out safeway in my area. Its like night and day as a couponer. Safeway: hostile and argumentative, very limiting regs on coupon use and Frys: totally welcoming, happy to help and easy to manage couponing rules. Its worth an extra 9 mile drive!
Sheryls post:
I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours today at the Fry’s Marketplace today on 67th Ave & Bell – I’ll be honest by saying I never venture outside of the area of Mesa (not too much anyways!) – the topic of discussion was their “new” lower prices.
Fry’s has gone to great lengths to provide a very generous coupon policy – not only have they embraced the couponing community with open arms, they have formulated an official coupon policy – in writing, for us to have as a reference. In addition, they are providing continuous training to management on down, to ensure that the policy is well-understood at the store level, thus providing a great shopping experience for us – the consumer.
Many of you may have noticed some changes this week in your local store – new tags, new colors –some new lower prices as well. Fry’s has changed their tags to help the customer better understand the store’s everyday low prices versus the Fry’s advertised specials.
Fry’s is hoping that the changes make for a more simple shopping experience with less tags to read, and an easier understanding of the product pricing that is currently there.
Right now, shopping at your local store you’ll find 3 *NEW* categories of pricing – Regular Price, Ad Price and Everyday Low Price – as noted in pictures above.
Many of the “NEW” lower price tags denote items that have been reduced in price $0.30 – $0.50 (and some even more) – providing you a more affordable means to shop – Fry’s wants to be your neighborhood grocer… and as the low price leader in Arizona they are striving to meet the needs of the consumer through their “Buy a Deal, Give a Deal” principle.
This is just one of many other ways you can save at Fry’s:
■Fuel Rewards – get points for fuel savings based on your grocery & gift card purchases.
■Suns & D-Back Rewards Programs – provides points for purchasing certain products to redeem towards prizes & game experiences.
■Earn FREE Coffee at Tully’s Locations in Fry’s with their “Buy 5 get 1 FREE”
■Seniors 55 & up can save 10% off edible purchases the first Wednesday each month
■i-Wireless customers can earn FREE Minutes & Fuel Points every time you spend $100 in store
■Lastly- save with eCoupons you can load to your card, and mailers you may receive via postal mail
■Lastly – you can earn your school up to $2K in cash through their “Cool Ca$h program”
