Default That's not how I want to get coupons...

I took a swing by my neighborhood's recycle bin again yesterday. Has occasionally been a GREAT source of coupons, sometimes there's nothing.

Well, yesterday, I pull up, look in, there seems to be an unusual number of flies. And it kinda stinks. But, it's been warm to hot here and people dump beer and crap in there all the time. I poke around a bit, see some inserts on the other side, but I can't reach them. There was actually quite a large stack, I just didn't know if they were current or old. So I actually went home, grabbed a step stool and some pliers to reach with and came back.

It was when I was standing on my step stool reaching in that I realized that the reason for the flies was that someone had dumped a bunch of fish in there! It looked like they had gone fishing, started to clean the fish, then decided that it was all too much work and just dumped them in the recycle bin! WTH? Now, this recycle bin is right by the neighborhood shelter with public grills, so maybe they were grilling and had too many? But still, there are also permanent trash cans right there too. Why on earth would you dump cut up dead fish in the recycle bin? And go out of your way to do so too?!?! They had to either leave their house to come to the bin, or walk PAST the trash cans to get there if they were grilling at the shelter.

    People make me crazy.

And no, the coupons I did manage to get weren't valid anyway, they were from January.

The thing was, it kinda stunk a little, but not like you would think rotten fish would smell. Like, my trash last night smelled worse. It looked nasty and once I figured it out I got my rear out of there.

Needless to say I am NOT hitting that recycle bin again until I know they have cleaned it out. Which actually kinda sucks because it means I won't be able to hit it up for the next few weeks.

It always amazes me what people throw in the recycling bins. Most of the time is good, but then....
