My mom's a pharmacist at walgreens. As much as i love them , im not sure i believe all is true , or false. Just like to every story two sides, and the truth is always in the middle somewhere. Now how the coupons are in mint condition i dont know , I know when i go in wags they shove them in a folder rather than neatly putting them in. Do i think they did this on purpose? No. Do i think something went wrong? Yes. Im sure more details are going to surface. I would suspect if the case gets dropped or wags wins the case. The other company will soon be out of business . Hope mom's stock still does well !! LOL

Well I can tell you this I think Walgreens didnt commit fraud here, unless it was isolated to a few specific stores. I know I took advantage of this deal and got 4 bottles (thats all they had). If you figure out the store count, this coupon total equals approx 7 sold per store.. which is a VERY reasonable account.

I don't know Deb, later in the article it says one store redeemed 1,306 Q's, unless that fact is wrong something seems fishy.

The problem with this that my dh explained (he's a wags manager) is that they dont' want to be like CVS and Rite Aid and would rather just
not do deals than become just like them.

Also, the customers shouldn't be punished for the "STORE'S" fraud. I mean this particular article takes ALL fault away from the customer.
We can only buy as many as the store carries. And if 1 single store said they sold over 1,000 that is impossible as we all know.

My dh orders the stock for my local wags each week the maximum amount of items he can order any given week (this includes black friday) is around 75 of 1 item. (depending on the item)

They just don't allow "over stocking" because they have to pay for repacking it if it doesn't sell.

Also, it seems weird that the rrs were even able to print. I've been in a wags where i did a deal and the rr didn't print (like on a saturday afternoon when the "new" sale starts)

Every person in the store including my dh said they can't MAKE an RR print. So how did they even get these to print?

and the last fishy thing about it is that each store is only given so many redemable rrs. (i.e. on black friday, the free toothpaste deals etc, my dh said at about noon on black friday the rrs stopped
printing, they called to find out why, it was because their particular store only had 50 redemable rrs, so after 50 were sold they stopped printing rrs for the free product and only printed random coupons.)
All Wags papers state "merchandise may not be avaiable, and only while supplies last" So most ppl just stopped buying the items.

I dunno, i do believe something is up, but i dunno who is exactly at fault. It sounds like "specific" stores are to blame. The article also said some had the same "numbers" on them when they were all supposed
to be unique? Maybe they were able to "reprint" them at certain stores i dunno, but i'm with the other person who said they hope their stock holds up lol. We have too much invested in wags right now! it's our
only source of income for bills! lol
