We have 3 in my house !! We love it !! To me it is just like a ipad ( which we have some of those as well ) As for the coupons i have not done/tried yet. I have no idea if you can use the coupon.com app or the freestufftimes coupon app on it.I only use mine to read certain ebooks , play games, and basically surf the web a little.
They are a really neat toy to have and add to your collection if you collect electronic gadgets like we do. : )

We have one too, just got it a couple weeks ago and there's the CouponIQ app which I have on my iPod Touch but don't really use it unless I just want to check out the coupons and not have to go to my computer. But for the most part I don't need to do that anymore, with the couponmom and other sites
All that said, we really like the Fire so far. It's great for surfing the internet, although it's definitely NOT meant to compete with the iPad and isn't really meant to be used as a tablet, but we do Just have to be patient with it sometimes. The apps store is comparable to Apple's, lots of frees and the familiar ones-Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja etc. And we put music on it as well from our computer music library which is nice

Disadvantage-there's no password required for buying something, you are linked to Amazon.com's 1-Click and so when you purchase something it immediately goes through, you don't have to enter a password or anything, sooooooo not so great for kiddos to be left alone with. But we told our DD that it's like the iPod and DOES require a password. Yep. We lied. hehehehe

Our kindle from last year not the newest one still makes you sign into amazon before you can purchase anything I believe.....so you NEED a password.

I just have the basic kindle and I actually love it because it's not web connected, [read I can only read books rather than get distracted with facebook, etc.] I felt like I had enough stuff that was connected without adding anymore to it if that makes sense and sometimes I just want to settle down on my couch and read without the distractions.

My one complaint is that it doesn't have a backlight feature but I solved that today thanks to Staples and their sale on e book reader accessories + 15% coupon off everything that you could fit in a back. I got the light that fits my case for $12.47 instead of the normal $30 it was before Christmas so now I can read under the covers again. Whoooo...
