Anyone think this works well? I bought some with a CVS ECB deal awhile ago. Used it on my DH's jeans after he had worked in the yard - knees were really dirty and grimy. Two washes, still had stains. Wrote to Tide, they apologized, sent a coupon for a free one (I gave it to my daughter since I don't think it works) and a $2.00 of 1 bottle of Tide (which I definately kept). Just curious

I bought one bottle to try it out and I too was disappointed, didn't work on stains on DD clothes and I used its as a pre-treatment too. Glad I didn't stock up.

Tide... what a rip off! I never buy that junk. I used to use it all the time until the powder killed my washer. (It created a sludge that clogged up the pump) Besides.. it's over priced, doesn't work as well as others... they coupons are pathetic!
LOL do I sound like an old crab?

I picked up some of the bottles and a bag of the packets when they were part of the deals at Publix a month or so ago. I have thrown them in loads that had extra grime and haven't noticed any difference at all! I have resorted to using them as pre-treater. Not that effective at that either.
My all time fave stain remover has got to be the Spray and Wash stain stick...love it!!! I've been using them for years - started with little ones and baby food stains that you think will never come out. I even got boxes of baby clothes from my sister that had been sitting in the attic and they had stains on them that had 'reappeared' over time. Even those stains came out with the stain stic. They take everything out! I love that you can grind it into the stain and let it sit in the hamper for days on end...actually they work even better if you do this. |

I do not think it did anything to my clothes. It was like just using detergent. If it wasn't free at CVS with the ECB's, I would not have paid $5.99 for a 20 use size. I got the liquid...maybe to powder packs work better?

I bought several of both the liquid and packet Tide Stain Release at CVS awhile back whenever they had that sale and all free with coupons. I haven't really noticed a difference. Also I was kind of worried about the plastic dissolving on the packets before I started my wash. I kept on debating with myself and wondered if it would not work and gunk up my machine. I finally cut it open lol. Anyone else worry about that or was I just a weirdo?
