Angry A new way to scam

I shop at Food lion every now and then.I always use the self check out.
Well today i was MONITORED while using it.
I ask my friend who is the csm there why i was being monitored.
She said someone had come into the store yesterday and used 40 EXPIRED Q'S!!!
They had entered them manually into the system.(for those who don't know if your Q want scan you can punch it in and the system will take it automatically)
That is what this person did.Now the grocery store lost over 100.00 becasue of the expired Q's.
PPL just don't give up do they?
They all ways try to ruin it for the good guys!

At the self checkouts at Albys a cashier has to put in Q"S.Thats why I dont use it when I have Q. I guess thats how they monitor them.

I don't like those self checkouts because I tend to forget to scan my coupons! LOL besides.. the more those things are used... the less likely the company will hire someone who needs a job.

Interesting.
I personally don't like using the self-check outs because they are just a huge Pain in the _utt!! They won't scan your item correctly, then if your too fast it won't register then you have to put your item in the bag next to the scanner so it can be weighed and if it's not there long enough it won't register and then the cashier has to come over anyway. My local WM did away with their self scanners a few years ago due to so much fraud. My local Giant Eagle grocery store still has several self-checkouts but I rarely use them because of the hassle. If you have more than one q for an item it won't let the customer use it and if a q is valued at more than $1.99 the cashier has to do it for you. A couple weeks ago I made a 'quick' trip to buy gravy and Betty Crocker pots that were on their last day of sale and had a lot of q's. I had to stand in a regular line and it ended up taking me 30 min for that 'quick' trip!!

Sad. This only makes it difficult for the rest of us honest couponers. No wonder stores are getting so tight with their coupon policies.

At the Kroger I go to I prefer the self check out lines. I can scan and make sure the price rings up right and then bag the items so that they do not get damaged like they do when they bag them. As far as using Q's with them most of the time during peak hours they have you scan them and then hand them to the cashier but when they do scan them I can watch and make sure they go through on their terminal. They do not have a way that you can manually input your own Q's only the cahier can manually input a Q.

Starla,

I thought of this post today when I used the two Hostess IP's at my local store. The cashier ran to get manager approval on the Q's. Seems that someone came in earlier this week and used "a stack" of IPs, all of them photocopied.

What a shame. That other 'fraud star' may have helped themselves, but hurt the rest of us honest couponers!

I have heard that the serial number on IP registers what couputer printed them and if they are used multiple times the coupon site will block your ip address from printing off any more q's from there site. Also if anyone says any thing about you having more that one IP Q you can point to the serial numbers on the Q's and they should be diffrent; however sites that alow you to print unlimited Q's like Target do not put serial numbers on theirs.

I too read that post here on CM, it happened to one of our Members who she/he shared with others. Is this where you read the post too? I never did hear back wether or not they got there print capabilities back or not??? Exactly why I DO NOT share or trade my IP's!

Terrible shame how desperate some people are these days!!!
