A new way to scam

Ya know, I don't use the self-scanners. I feel like if I have to put my items on the belt, scan them, scan the q's, pay, and then bag my own items, I should be getting a discount for doing their work for them. I will only use the self-scanner if I have a couple of items and I'm in a hurry... Otherwise, I use a cashier ~ who, BTW is earning an income to feed their own families...

In our area quite a stores have been refurshing/rafacing/reequipping themselves. And when they reopen what we see is quite a few self checkouts. One store where I go to has 8 new machines.

Same here... I just prefer to go to a human being. I think my Meijer has about 6 self-scanners for the Express Lanes, and about 4-5 self-scanners for larger orders, a few lanes open and manned with a cashier, and many unopened check out lanes that require Cashiers. I still go to the Cashier ~ checking out might take a lil longer for me, but I feel like I pay Meijer for that service.

I hand my q's over in sets... if the cashier gets a lil grabby, they've missed some q's, so I hang on to them tightly until I'm ready to give them over. Then I hand over a 'set' of q's and make sure they've all scanned and hand over a second 'set' of q's, etc...

I agree with everyone who doesn't like the self check out. I just find it a hassle, maybe because I never shop without my little ones so between keeping my eyes on them and trying to check out everything, i just rather not. I think it's such ashame how these dishonest people ruin it for those of us trying to save some money the honest way, we're not trying to hurt anyone. As far as tradinggoes, I love it. I've traded with quite a few people and always been happy. I like sending q's to people who don't have what I'm looking for also, it makes me feel good. I don't like when a person says something and doesn't do it, so please if anytime I have traded with anyone and you haven't gotten them, please, please let me know so I can make it up to you. I think i've been pretty successful so far but ya know sometimes the mail gets screwed up and I have no control over that. I like being honest with everyone, there's lots of nice people here and I'd like to keep the "cyber friends" that I feel I've made.

most of the time i use self scan so that way i can see everything scan

with all the miejer trouble i have the store that i go to with most of the mb q when i have a lot of the same q have been really good about accecpting them so when i go thier i go to a cashier

sometimes i will take the extra time to figure out about how much i will spend - if so then i am more apt to go to a cashier

but about the expired Q - to me it sounds like someone who must of worked at another store - for them to able to hand enter all those Q into the machine without anyone else knowing

i wounder if they look at video tape if they could catch them
