Coupon Binder Pages
After struggling for a couple of weeks, I finally decided to relinquish my old coupon file folders and go with a binder. I watched several videos on YouTube and then looked at photographs here that several users posted. (Thank you.)
I went to Walmart and found all the supplies. About 30 minutes into folding coupons to fit into those tiny card trading pages I was tired and aggravated.
Thank God for my husband who has been interested in this entire saving money thing and now wants to know what I am working on all the time. He mentioned that it seemed like a pain and thought he could have something that might help me.
He went upstairs and came back with ten currency protector pages for people who collect currency and coins. A couple of the pages only had 3 openings, the rest had 4. They are top loading and WONDERFUL. I cannot rave about them enough!!! The pockets are big enough that even the $1 Capri Sun coupons fit in them perfectly. No folding, no muss and I can pull out a handful of coupons in an instant and not have to address the unfolding issue.
They are definitely more expensive than trading card pages (about .79 cents each). Unfortunately, he only had ten, but he had others that were side loading (not so convenient or sturdy) so I'm using them until we can get to the coin collector store and purchase more.
It makes sorting and filing the coupons a breeze and I can see everything better, plus, NO MORE FOLDING. Geez, I didn't even last 45 minutes, I could have never kept it up for weeks.

Great idea. I mixed in some photo pages in my binder along with the baseball card pages. I didn't like all that folding, either!

I love and use the 3 & 4 pocket currency pages too!! They are wonderful. There is also a 6 pocket baseball proof set page that is very good for the tall skinny coupons.
The only problem with the currency page is if you have a big stack of thick coupons they can slip out if you turn your book upside down. I use a paper clip hold them on tightly.
Enjoy your new binder and check page prices on ebay!

Like the idea...
I can use a few new pages to replace some that are breaking down.

I just started my binder a few weeks ago. Knew I would not be happy with having to trim and fold my Qs to get them to fit into the baseball card holders. Instead, decided to make my own since I had oodles of sheet protectors on hand. Actually, DH made them for me. Cut slots in the sheet protectors where I wanted the top of each pocket to be, slipped in a piece of paper (now I have front and back pockets with the paper as the backing), and then sewed the base of each pocket. To do it easily, we made only full horizontal cuts approx. 2.5 inches high (leave a small uncut margin at the right and left edge of the pocket); that gave us 4 pockets per page.
I have been very happy with the design. Here is a link to a website where I saw the idea:
How to Make a Coupon Binder, Part 3 Learning to be Frugal
The currency protector pages is a good idea. I will have to keep my eye out to see if I can find any at a good price.

I had started using the trading card pages and I understand the frustration! Thankfully, I got into the hang of doing it. The problem was when I ran out of them. I went to Staples and all they had were business card ones. (Side loading and smaller.) They were very frustrating, but I finally got the coupons loaded. I might look into something bigger, though.

Photo Pages
Just wanted to share with everyone, I started a binder about a week ago, (still really new at this) I found some photo pages at walmart for 4x6 photos, it has 3 slots (6 if you use both sides), most coupons fit in there and it was $2.00 for 9 sheets. They were located at the photo department by the photo books. Just thought I would share. I definitely need to get more I went through 2 packets pretty quickly!
