    Default Purchasing Coupons- Opinions?

I just wondered what other people's thoughts are on purchasing coupons from various websites that will clip the coupons and mail them to you for a fee? Do any of you purchase coupons? (I know one cannot leagally sell them but they charge for the "clipping" of the coupons).

IMHO I've never bought coupons because I get so many from the newspapers and online that for myself I just never wanted to purchase any from anyone else. But that is just me.

I've gotten some hot coupons from ebay in the past.
However, I've never used a coupon clipping service site.

    Hi there,

I've never paid for coupons. I get so many and with all the ones you can now print from your computer, I don't feel there's a need to pay for them. Our Vons and Ralphs stores are no longer doubling coupons that exceed a $1.00. I'm really going to miss that! Now I find myself shopping at Target and Food For Less because sometimes they're cheaper than the major grocery chains.

I have purchased from Ebay and online clipping services in the past. Good experiences with both but I have found that I prefer Ebay. I do not get the "group" coupons but instead go for specific high dollar coupons for products I use a lot of. Recently I have purchased $1.50 coupons off my favorite catfood and $3 coupons off my favorite cat litter. Purchasing them does lower the value of the coupon. (For example I spent $1 on each of the $3 coupons) But since I have no way of acquiring these coupons on my own I still save $2 on cat litter.

I don't buy coupons, they are sooooo available in the paper and the manufacturer websites. Seems silly to pay for them.

Sorry - have to agree on not buying coupons - the point of saving money is to save - if you have to buy coupons - than what are you saving???

I use a clipper service. The largest paper I have access to in my area gets rather skinny inserts. I'm not in a very populated area so we don't get the beefy circulars. I get many more varied coupons that I can use if I order them online. My savings greatly exceed what I spend on my coupons. And I get more coupons for my dollar than I do through our small paper.

Though I have never used a coupon clipping service , I am considering it for certain items that I never seem to have enough coupons for ( For me it's Friskies canned cat food for my 4 always hungry kitties ) . I need like 20 coupons to get us through to when they come out again .

Wink Like buying coupons if needed

I buy occasionaly from ebay. I save alot by doing this when an item or items are needed. Recently I bought 40 coupons for $2.00, for Garnier Frutis products. Coupons were for a $1 off. My local Kroger doubles coupons up to a $1. Garnier was ON SALE for $2.69. So I paid only $.69 each. So I paid only $27.60 plus 6% sales tax for all 40 of them. With the sale price and my coupons I saved a total of $118.72. Now I don't have to buy shampoo, conditoner, or hair supplies for a long time. It was worth the $2.
