    Talking Please Use Search Button

For many people who may be new and are joining each day....there is a blue bar above underneath your sign in name. One of them is a search button, where you may find a topic that answers your specific question that may have already been asked/replied to.

One thing I try to be mindful of as a regular here is to keep my post titles to the point, so it will be an easy find for new people. Plus, it helps save server space. Hope that helps.

It's always a good idea to check if a thread already exists before starting a new one.

THANK YOU!!!! from your friendly neighborhood moderator. This cuts down also on people posting the same thing multiple times before they have approved posting rights. FYI usually after 5 approved posting you do not have you posts moderated unless you have a link present.

It's good to remind us, or tell new folks, every so often. I know I've posted about using the search function in the past, as have others. We just have to remember to remind. LOL

Thanks for the reminder. I'd bet that 95% of the questions asked already have an answer posted.

Also for the newbies - at the top of each forum (ie - CVS, WAGS, Have a question, etc...) there are titles with a 'sticky' label next to it - those are stickied for a purpose. They contain valuable information that is a must read! These postings are where you will find the majority of your answers.

However, I just went to the "search" spot and tried to look up my (thread or log?) asking for coupon book suggestions, but it didn't take me anywhere--just back to the threads. Is there any way to look up my blogs from the past? I'm unable to use private messages because I don't have the right search engine.

Click on your SN to get to your profile and then click on statistics. Will see link(s) for "Find all posts" & "Find all threads started".

Alternately, you can do a use the search option. Just click on Advanced Search. Type in the keyword(s) for what you are looking for then your SN in the next box and then you can further isolate the search by selecting which forum the post was in if you like OR you can just put in your SN in the Username box and use the dropdown right under it to select "Find all post/Finds all threads started".

Is this the one you were looking for?
