I just started trading coupons on this site, and have had wonderful transactions, except for a few. On one occasion I was offered inserts at $1 a piece. I DO NOT BUY COUPONS. My goal in coupon trading is to trade valuable coupons that I will not be using, for valuable coupons that I will use. On two other occasions, we negotiated the trade, I sent out my coupons to trade the next day, and never received my coupons in return. We all know that stamps cost money, therefore, I DO expect coupons in return. My point of this thread is to announce that I do not buy coupons, unless I am purchasing a newspaper, and I am here to trade coupons and use this website to save money. In my opinion, I am an excellent coupon trader, my coupons are always cut, never expired, and sent out the very next day with enough postage. To all the other wonderful coupon traders on here and the one's I have traded with that were pleasant transactions, THANK YOU. This is why this website was created, not for people to take advantage or make a dollar an insert.

Let me back this up again. WE DO NOT SELL COUPONS. It is against the law. Anyone being caught doing this will be given a cooling off BAN from this site that may lead to a permanent ban depending on the offense. Please contact me if you feel people are trying to sell you coupons.
I asked Stephanie for this area of the forums because so many people wanted to have an easier way to trade. It can be removed if people cannot follow the rules. Please take a moment to reread this post before trading. Also please see that it has been updated to include no trading for stamps due to the abuse of so many people "posting stamps only" and our feeling that it felt like coupons were being sold for stamps. Coupon Trading Guidelines If you cannot follow the rules then DO NOT trade here. We pride ourselves as being an ethical site that helps people save money and support charities. Blessings and Hugs, "Angel" |

THANK YOU LITSA. I did not fall for paying this individual $1 per insert, I wanted to raise awareness on this issue so none of the other Coupon Moms fell for it. The guidelines set for this forum allow us to obtain the money saving coupons we need and send the ones we are not using to others who will!

I'll say thank you, too, LITSA. I recently was the victim of a bad trade: I sent out $32.00 worth of coupons and got nothing in return so far and it has been 3 weeks. And this was someone I've traded with before and trusted!
![]() If for some reason you will be late or cannot honor a trade, PLEASE tell the person. We should all be mature and understanding enough to realize life can take a turn and things will be delayed sometimes. But don't leave someone hanging for 3 weeks with not even an explanation!

Sherrie~
Don't get turned off by trading on Coupon Mom, there are SO MANY awesome traders on here! I have learned to keep tabs on all trades, and those that turn sour, keep the PMs with their contact info as a "list" of people to not trade with. I hope you continue with your plans on trading on this site Realtor Mom |

I second that, sherri. I have only had two bad experiences trading and dozens of good ones. Just remember anyone who doesn't do their part and not deal with them anymore.

Thanks Nerdy and Realtormom
![]() I do plan to start trading as I have many coupons going to waste that I don't use. In addition, when I need more coupons for the items I do use, I find my self ordering from Ebay and coupon clipping services with is costing extra money, so I am hoping to get more of those coupons by trading. Noticed you all are both from SC. I was born and raised in upstate SC. I really miss being there and hope to move back south in the near future. There is def. no place like home.

I would also like to add that I think trades should be mailed out promptly. I too have had many good trade experiences here, but have had a few bad ones. I always mail my trades out by the next day, and I expect others to do the same. Coupons expire and sales end, and even a couple of extra days can make the difference between getting the best deal when using a coupon or not getting the best deal. If something happens to delay your good intentions, please let the other trader know that. Otherwise, if you agree to a trade, unless you tell the other person that you can't send the coupons immediately, I think promptness is owed by both parties.

First of all, this board should have an updated list of all BAD TRADERS. This way, everyone who would like to trade with other members will know in advance NOT to Trade with a BAD TRADER. I've had two bad traders out of the 450+ trades since trading coupons in other forums.
Second, trading postal stamps for coupons. You all have your reasons and my only reason why I rather trade postal stamps, was the fact that I have a ton of coupons and I really did not need to trade coupons for more coupons. But, I understand the rules here and I will follow them. YES, all trades should be mailed out promptly. If I get a request for a trade in the morning, I will send out the envelope the same day. If I make a trade in the afternoon, the envelope will be mailed out the next day in the morning. I always give out extra bonus coupons in all of my trades. I DO NOT play games with NO ONE. I expect when I mail out your trade, that you will also mail out my end the same day or the latest the next day. PLEASE DO NOT wait until you receive my end first and then send your envelope to me. Thank you all for your time and have a Great Day! |
