I posted at one time asking if anyone would like to make a list of "good traders" when there was an issue with someone. (This person actually had a real life crisis and many people decided to break the forum rules by making her feel less than a nobody.) For that reason alone, I will not make a "bad trader" list. We are here to support each other and things do happen.

Trading is something you do at your own risk. I encourage you to trade with those who actually keep their word and don't with the others. Sometimes even a good trader turns bad due to circumstances. I know some days I get behind and can't seem to catch up, but I purposely buy extra stamps when I am out and toss them in my outgoing mail if I can't get to the post office. From having trains going, I have an idea on how many stamps to add.

Again the offer is still on the table if anyone wants me to make a good trader list. This would be a stickied/closed thread so that only moderators could add or remove people from to keep members honest and the list up-to-date with people leaving the forums etc.

Default Feedback rating?

Maybe it could be set up like Ebay does where everyone has a feedback rating for trades? I have never had a problem with any of my trades, but I have not done that many.

I have only done two transactions where mailing coupons were involved. I have made one great trader and than someone had a post giving away non uses. Being fairly new to all this game --thanks for all the great advice and people who post here. I would suggest making sure that you understand the terms of the trade with anyone that may be new to your trade circle. It always helps to be clear on the rules of the game and than your sure to both be winners! Oh one more thing sometimes the distance you live from one another plays a factor in the time it takes to get your package so be sure to ask where they are coming from

I think this is a good idea, and thank you for offering, LITSA!

I would like to add: just because someone is NOT on the list, it does not necessarily mean they are a "bad" trader. It could be they have never traded before, or not recently, so keep that in mind.

I am all for "good trader" info being available, but is it possible to give reps or thx for all to see such as in a members profile (like ebay)? This way a trader could see the rating (statistics) of someone whom they would possibly being doing a trade with and make a decision from there. Of course, this would not guarantee a good or bad trade, but it does give some type of feedback from past experiences. Just a thought.

Communication should be a factor evaluated as well. People rely upon communication when purchasing at eBay, why not here?

I attempted my first foray into trading this month. Boldly sent my contact information without a response. The coupon has expired by now. I am hoping the individual is not doing something obnoxious with my personal info.

I'm all for seeing a list of good traders.

Just curious but what is the difference between selling coupons and charging for clipping and mailing? I know it's against the law to sell coupons (says so right on them) but there are services where you can "buy" coupons. They get around the whole selling issue by saying they are charging for the processing of the coupons. Really it's '6 of 1, half dozen of another' same thing really...they are in it to make money, right?

On other sites you can swap coupons for stamps, concealed cash, items, first born children, etc.

We discussed this when we first added the trading section and then again more recently. That is why there are "trading rules" and why stamps have been added to that list. This is one way we maintain an ethical site.

Smile New to this

I am completely new to this and have been unemployed for 2 months and starting to learn to use coupons and have coupons (not a lot) I would like to trade for because I feel that there are people out there, like new moms needing diapers and formula, that could use these.

Please tell me where to begin, start, or what to do next.

Thank you.

Default Coupon Trading

Usually you post what you want to trade under the coupon trading part of the forum. Then let everyone know what you are ISO (in search of). Or you can do an ISO Kellogs cereal (example) and see what response you get. I personally like when someone tells what they have available to trade.
