Would love a section where I can post craft store sales, clearance finds, and info. Did you know Joann's accepts competitors coupons?? We could also post links to 40% off coupons, etc. We could also post pics of our final creations.

I like this idea a lot. It may also give people ideas for inexpensive gifts!
FYI, Michaels also accepts competitors coupons.
Great idea! Is it falling somewhere in with National stores right now? I think it should have its' own area. Hobby Lobby here puts out a coupon in the paper every other week for 40% off a regular priced item. I'd love to see what other ladies are doing and the rock bottom prices they got their supplies at.

Julie I knew you'd post here! I got a bunch of ribbon at Hobby Lobby this week at 50% off, but when I got home and compared it to my other ribbon from Michaels, it is not very good quality. But the cheap-o quality ribbon was only $1 per roll, so it wasn't too bad. I have bought buttons (for the centers of the bows) from Joann's and like them the best. BTW I make girl's hair bows for anyone wondering what the heck I'm talking about. :P

Lol! Of course I'll post. I'm doing headbands. I got the inspiration from a trade show. The lady had these headbands for $30. I checked at Hobby Lobby and it was during a week when the supplies were 50% off. I made the same headband for less than $5. Did I sell it? No. Because it was a copy of that lady's and that's ripping off someone's design, which is a no-no in the craft selling world. I used it as my inspiration piece and changed it and I market it and some other completely different ones for little girls. Her's were for 20 something girls.
I haven't found the $1 ribbon at my store. I do check a clearance bin they have every week and have picked up ribbon, yarn, and tools for very good prices.

Totally into this !!! I use to craft alot a long time ago (pre DD...lol) and now I would love to get back into it again. Problem is what to make, so many ideas floating around in my head. CQ I have bought alot of buttons from Joann's and they are great and I have also gotten bulk bags of buttons at Michael's which are nice too, they have themed bags (just like Joann's) can't remember if there was a price difference (haven't bought them in awhile) I'll have to look next time I'm there.

I have posted some of my new bows in the Java thread in the Chatting getting to know each other section if anyone is interested.Michaels never fails to email me with a coupon every week, just sign up on their website. Combining the coupon with sales and 10% off military Wednesdays is my favorite!! Ribbon goes on sale from $3.99 to 2/$5 every couple weeks. I'm set on ribbon for now, I just need to start selling them now!
