These new pop ups are irritating

Whatever the reason these popups are irritating and not called for at least not in this forum.

The febreeze dog gets me too. I am pretty sure though that the advertisers are what keeps this site free, so I personally would rather deal with them for a good site with good info, than for it to start costing me money I just don't have to spend on a membership. That's Just my opinion though

I use pop-up blocker so they don't bother me but I do have to press "CTRL" to view something in a new window which can be annoying.

What we should do is email the advertisers making these annoying pop ups and tell them how irritating they are. This isn't the only site that they attack me on, I get them a lot when I am reading the news and that is by far, the most annoying thing...I'm trying to read about something in my community and get sprayed by a shower of steam with no X until the whole thing is loaded...or a dog...or a coffee cup. If I can't find the X fast enough I will usually shut the page down, it's intrusive...I see the ad already on the side, I don't need a 3d popping out of my screen for extra attention.

I have pop up blocker on, even then the dog comes on.
I agree this site is free and paid by advertisements. But the pop up ads are definitely annoying. And also what is the target audience.. it is the people who are using this forum for saving money by using coupons. And if my reading is correct this audience will buy stuff only if it is a good deal.. ads or no ads.

i use firefox with adblock plus. i have never seen any pop-ups on this site.
