Default Saving Thread space for pertinent info...

A member posted the other day that she is on dial up and it takes her time to get through all of the "atta boys or girls" or "great job" "nice shopping" etc etc Maybe instead of actually making a post saying "good job" a section where we can give the pats on the back without having to make a post. This will allow the user input kept to a minimal and more specific to the thread i.e. I found this item on sale at such and such for a cheaper price or some information specific to the actual thread. Seems to me it would also save on server space if all the "way to go's" weren’t necessarily posted but in a place where it would take up minimal space to still give the kudos????

I'm guessing that those on dial up only make up about 15%, and those atta girl pats on the backs is really what it's all about to keep our encouragement levels up spurs us on to bigger and better savings.

I would hate for the other posters to not be able to say good job, or what ever input they might have, I need all the encouragement I can get because I certainly don't get it from my family!

I have seen the sites who have this feature and honestly it's just more clutter. There are ways to set your defaults so things load better as was suggested in the other thread. Also anything with pictures etc are already made in thumbnails which helps too. I edit out any of the spam with those crazy pictures and also anyone who posts with huge letters as there is no reason for them to be there.

I would ask members to remember not everyone has the same connection and to be kind when adding signatures, pictures, and other such things. I think I've missed a few so do not be surprised if something gets edited.
